The course covers the essential rules, including the Fard (obligatory acts), Sunnah (recommended practices), Wajibat (mandatory acts), Makruhat (disliked acts), and Mufsidat (nullifiers), ensuring that your prayers are performed correctly and with complete devotion. With flexible online classes, you can learn at your own pace from the comfort of your home, receiving personalized attention to perfect your prayer practice.
- Sunnah (Recommended Practices): These are actions that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) regularly performed during Salah but are not obligatory. Performing Sunnah actions increases the reward and spiritual benefits of the prayer.
- Fard (Obligatory Acts): These are essential elements of Salah that must be completed for the prayer to be valid, such as reciting Surah Al-Fatiha. Missing any Fard act invalidates the Salah.
- Wajibat (Mandatory Acts): These actions are necessary for the completeness of Salah. Missing a Wajib requires a compensatory action, such as
- Sujood As-Sahw (prostration of forgetfulness), to correct the mistake.
- Makruhat (Disliked Acts): These are actions that should be avoided during Salah, like unnecessary movements, looking around, or improper recitation. Engaging in Makruhat does not invalidate the prayer but reduces its spiritual reward.
- Mufsidat (Nullifiers of Salah): These are actions that invalidate the prayer if done, such as eating, drinking, talking, excessive movement, laughing, or intentionally skipping a Fard act. Engaging in any Mufsidat requires the prayer to be repeated.
What is a Prayer
Salah (Prayer) is a fundamental act of worship in Islam, performed five times a day to maintain a strong connection with Allah. Before performing Salah, it is essential to perform Wudu (ablution), a ritual washing that purifies the body and prepares the mind for prayer. Wudu involves washing the hands, mouth, nostrils, face, arms, head, and feet, symbolizing spiritual purification. Salah itself has specific rules, such as facing the Qibla (direction of the Kaaba in Mecca), standing with humility, reciting the Quran, and following the physical postures of bowing, prostrating, and sitting. Observing these rules helps Muslims focus their hearts and minds on worship, fostering a deeper spiritual connection with their Creator.
